EWCV was a static site that could not be edited easily. We converted the original site content into WordPress as a CMS (content management system) website. We provided some WordPress training online via Skype to actual employees at EWCV in Uganda and they have since begun to update their own site.
The site also features one of our earliest web-applications - namely the "Sponsor a Child" and "Sponsor a Worker" sections. The sponsor scripts allow for website users to browse and select a child &/or worker to sponsor, then sponsor them, registering as a new user as needed. In the future keep an eye out on this section of the site as we may convert this functionality to a WordPress plugin rather than a stand-alone product as it currently is.
We integrated the existing Gallery2 photo gallery scripts into the new WordPress based website using the WPG2 plugin, as well as did some minor tweaks to the sponsor script PHP Smarty templates & CSS to blend into the new WordPress theme.
